It a brilliant piece of work and I'm so pleased he's got the break he and Tommy so justly deserve.
On a funny side note, I did meet Pete at the Shooting People - Landscape and Players event about film makers and brands. Have a look at the bottom of the page to see my addtion to the day.

I entered my first feature flm script into the Film London - Microwave Film Fund today.

I wrote the bulk of the 120ish page script in 6 days.
It'll be interesting to see whether I get in for an interview.
The script was a very rough first draft but it had most of the elements for a good story.
I've got a Producer from Four Lions who could be involved and Juriaan Booij as the director.

Conformists has been submitted into the Bafta's 2011 (British Academy of Film and Television Awards) in the short film category.
It would be great to see it get a chance of an award by becoming a nominee.

I went to BAFTA this today to the Shooting People event - The Landscape and Players.

Which was part of the Soho Rushes festival.
The seminar focused on how brand and film makers are working together more.
Cath Le Couter (founder of Shooting People) invited me to join the rolling panel which (being a bit of a tart) I gladly did.

I thought it was necessary to point out that a lot of the competitions that are run by brand/corporations are very cheap ways of acquiring the copyright to the creative ideas of tens of thousands of people.
Yes, its a great leg up into the industry for the winner.
But for the other film makers there's no knowing where and when their idea might turn up advertising the product and they won't receive any money for it.
If its good for the bottom line of a corporation and it makes their brand look cool, they will do it.

Timo Langer and Robert Glassford won a Scottish BAFTA for their film Dach.

This was one of the first films I'd ever been in.
It was so much fun.
We did lots of wire work and some gymnastics/snowboarding moves to portray jumping off the top of a high rise block of flats.
